The Public Policy Director (PPD) manages Violence Free Colorado’s Public Policy Program to increase safety, support, and options for survivors of domestic violence through policy and systems advocacy. The PPD collaborates with staff, membership, community partners and our Public Policy Committee.  The PPD works to identify, analyze, monitor, and create public policy solutions around domestic violence and to determine how legislation will impact our mission, our membership, survivors, and advocates across the state.  Our goal is to develop and implement policy that centers the needs of the most marginalized survivors, works to dismantle oppressive systems, and includes strategies beyond the criminal-legal system.

Bilingual Training and TA Specialist POSITION FILLED

The Bilingual Training and Technical Assistance Specialist (BTTAS) provides training, technical assistance, and systems advocacy on the intersections of anti-oppression work, language justice and domestic violence. The BTTAS will work with bilingual anti-domestic violence advocates state-wide to expand programming, resources and accessibility to survivors who are often marginalized or ignored in primarily English-speaking programs. They will also work with antidomestic violence programs to create policies and protocols that foster safer, more supportive and more equitable working environments for bilingual advocates. The BTTAS works closely with the Culturally Responsive Training and Technical Assistance Specialist and the Economic Justice Training and Technical Assistance Specialist to help member organizations create programming that is inclusive, accessible, and seeks to address historical trauma, oppression, and disenfranchisement. We are seeking a colleague who is excited about stepping into a dynamic team at a moment of change and transition. In keeping with our organizational core values, the successful candidate will engage their work in trauma-informed, culturally responsive ways that center accessibility, equity, and inclusion. Like all coalition staff, the BTTAS will work to center the experience of survivors and to identify ways that domestic violence intersects with experiences of oppression based on identity and access to power. The Economic Justice Specialist (EJS) provides training, technical assistance, and systems advocacy on the intersections of domestic violence and economic justice. The EJS works closely
with our Housing Program Manager to build out our Housing and Economic Justice programs. The EJS works closely with our Bilingual Training and Technical Assistance Specialist and with
our Culturally Responsive Training and Technical Assistance Specialist to help member organizations create programming that is inclusive, accessible, and seeks to address historical trauma, oppression, and disenfranchisement.
