This 3-day session is designed to help participants advance their roles and careers in non-profit sectors. Explore identity, personal strengths, the meaning of community, and the need for intersectionality with a group of women committed to helping others. There will be daily outings to take in Colorado’s beautiful spring scenery.
The Spring session is divided into three workshops: Self-empowerment, Target Communities, and Intersectionality of Oppression. They will be led by facilitators who are experienced in nonprofit work and are fully invested in serving the marginalized within their own community.
Workshop 1: Self-Empowerment/Begin the journey by exploring one’s identity and strengths to better serve others
Workshop 2: Target Community/Define and understand community to better visualize your role in an organziation
Workshop 3: Intersectionality of Oppression/Explore intersectionality to find common ground with other marginalized groups
