CU Boulder’s Office of Victim Assistance, OVA, in partnership with CU Police Dept. (CUPD), are excited to have created a new victim advocate position. . The Embedded CUPD Victim Advocate is an exciting new position that will provide advocacy services in person for the University of Colorado’s Police Department (CUPD) while also ensuring accurate and timely communication, coordination, and documentation of the interactions and referrals provided.
Central to this role is ensuring that diversity, social justice, and trauma-informed care are considered in all assessment and advocacy services provided. This unique and critical position will be embedded in CUPD and will report to the OVA Director. This role is important to supporting victims and connecting them to on-going support. While this position does not perform on-going advocacy work, they are helping first responders support victims in the moment and/or shortly after a crime.
We are looking for an experienced Victim Advocate who can practice both independently and as a team member. This position will have some set day/business office hours as well as be on-call some set nights and weekends.

The salary range for this position is $45,000 – $50,000.
