Organization Summary: Wings is a non-profit organization based in Denver, Colorado that supports adult survivors of childhood sexual (CSA) abuse to transcend trauma and lead their fullest, healthiest lives. Position Summary: The Director of Development will work closely with the Executive Director and other members of the leadership team to design and implement strategies that ensure a successful organizational development program, including all activities related to the prospect identification, solicitation and cultivation of individual, corporate, and foundation support. The experienced development professional will maintain and grow Wings’ annual fund, strategic special events and major gifts program, also leading Wings’ first comprehensive fundraising campaign and planned giving program. In summary, the Director of Development will align, promote and engage donors and funders into Wings’ mission in highly meaningful and transformational ways that advance the organization’s ability to enact its mission, deepen its impact, expand its reach and work toward its lofty vision. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a genuine joy in connecting with the Wings team, board, and all stakeholders, as well as work ambitiously to meet or exceed all development goals. They will also remain informed and connected to key philanthropy, health and trauma-focused, and/or social justice networks and communities in the Colorado area and as needed, nationally, to engage game-changing partners in advancing our cause.
Salary and Benefits: Salary range is $85,000-100,000, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package offering: generous PTO accrual and 10 paid holidays; major medical (several options available), dental, vision, and life insurance; voluntary short-term and long-term disability; HSA or FSA program; and 401k program with up to 3% employer match.
Work from Home: While this is a work from home position, the professional is expected to be regularly out in the community meeting with donors, prospects, funders and volunteers throughout Colorado. Prospect identification, solicitation and cultivation of funders in other areas is also expected, via virtual connection, or at times, strategic travel.
