Safe Shelter’s 2018 symposium will offer significant content for educators, advocates, health professionals, business leaders, service providers, the legal and law enforcement sectors and community members.

Through multiple sessions and plenaries, attendees will explore the public health impact of partner abuse on individuals, families and communities. Content will include: Social determinants that encourage or prevent inter partner violence; physical and mental health consequences over the lifetime; connections of violence to addiction and mental illness; consequences on businesses and productivity; and treatments, protective factors and tools to make the fabric of our community safer and stronger.
