Training and Program Director – this position has been filled

The Training and Program Director (TPD) leads our educational programming and makes real our educational vision. Violence Free Colorado works to be a thought leader in our state and in anti-domestic violence movements. We are a primary educator for community-based advocates here in Colorado and a strong training partner to a variety of non-profit, systems-based, and culturally-specific service providers. The TPD supports our training staff through direct supervision, program management, and professional development. We are looking for a TPD who can help us build an inclusive and accessible educational vision that meets the needs of advocates across identity, ability-status, and location. The TPD will help to sharpen our online teaching strategies and engage new platforms for content delivery, community building, and collaboration. We are looking for candidates who are excited about advocacy as a calling and a profession; who believe teaching can create change; and who ground their work in equity as a foundational practice, process, and position.

Compensation: $70,000 to $72,000 annually

Public Policy Specialist – this position has been filled

Working with the Public Policy Director, the Policy Specialist will support the work of the Policy Committee, help implement our public policy initiatives, work to build the capacity of the state’s domestic violence programs, and widen our network of policy partners. This position includes significant administrative duties, and the Specialist will provide technical assistance to member domestic violence programs and allied partners. This position requires the ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound independent judgment, multi-task, take initiative, and meet deadlines. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, and strong organizational skills. A commitment to anti-oppression policy development and knowledge of the root causes of gender-based violence is essential.

Classification: Part Time, (.55 FTE, 20 – 25 hours/week)

Timeline of position: Feb. 2023 – Dec. 31, 2023, possible extension to Dec. 2024

Compensation: $30/Hour
